A Little About Me

I’m Andrew, an LA native growing up in the San Gabriel Valley. I have a strong love for the great outdoors, film photography, coffee, and of course, filmmaking. When I’m not on set, I enjoy taking road trips up north into the wilderness with my dad’s old Pentax film camera. Or perhaps at a local indoor climbing gym trying to keep active.

Why I Do What I Do

Throughout my life, I’ve always had an interest in cameras and preserving the memories that I make. Now as Camera Assistant, I get to do just that. Preserving memories for other people to enjoy, while working with some of the highest tech camera equipment in the world. These passions help drive me in the creation of projects; working to achieve the best results possible.

Do I work as a 1st or 2nd AC?

This question comes up a lot, and like a lot of cases, it depends…

I enjoy the more creative responsibilities of being a 1st AC/Focus Puller; along with leading a team of other Camera Assistant to our common goal. While having a few years experience being a Camera Assistants, I still see myself as being early on in my career. This is why I continue to 2nd AC as well, I appreciate the chance to learn under AC’s more experienced than I, and can teach me how to better my own craft.

This is why I will continue to take projects for both position, depending on your project.
